Why Redbud?

The name Redbud reminds me why I started my real estate business. When my wife and I bought our land, we decided to try growing trees from seed. Our first success was seven eastern redbud trees we planted along the driveway.  As our family grows and changes, the trees are a beautiful reminder of how far we’ve come. Redbud Realty hopes that your family can grow along with us.

We make it easy to navigate the sales process using the following 7-step process:
  1. Redbud will gather as much information as possible from you to refine your options.
  2. Expect to be asked for a pre-approval document from your lender if you plan to obtain a mortgage or proof of funds if you’re prepared to make a cash offer. If you’re a serious buyer, having this documentation will, quite literally open up more doors than if you don’t.
  3. We’ll make your search as efficient as possible and if we’re missing the mark we will make adjustments. Sometimes people have an idea of what they want but that idea may change as you tour different properties, especially if it’s an area you aren’t familiar with.
  4. A buyer agency agreement must be in writing before making an offer on any property.
  5. If your offer is accepted, you will have an opportunity during the due diligence period (usually about a month) to do some in depth discovery about the property and request repairs if necessary.  Redbud will coordinate things like inspections, surveys, closing schedule, etc.
  6. Next is closing, which you will likely have to be physically present for. Your attorney will coordinate most milestones between the due diligence period and closing but we will be there to ensure everyone is on the same page.
  7. And finally: you get the keys!

When my family and I first moved to the area, we couldn’t find a house on the market with the “perfect” layout and amenities. So we bought some acreage near Leicester, lived in a yurt for a couple of years (with two small children and a composting toilet!), and then had a custom home built to suit our needs. When you tailor your living accommodations to the specific needs and preferences of your family, it’s a game changer on a day-to-day basic. Plus, there are fewer alterations and upgrades to account for with a customized living space!
